As a feature of the public authority's work to battle the danger of fake money notes, and tax avoidance, it should be referenced that Rs 1,000 notes were removed from the flow.
Days after the public authority expressed that there had been no new intent for printing Rs.2000 money notes from 2018-19, a viral video that has been flowing via virtual media declares that Rs 1000 notes will return on January 1, 2023. The statement is false.
The Indian government's PIB Truth Check utilized the microblogging webpage Twitter to caution people not to make such bogus and baseless statements.
PIB Fact Check wrote on Twitter, “A viral video on social media is stating that Rs 1000 notes will come from January 1 and Rs.2000 notes will return to banks, the assertion is false. Please refrain from spreading such a false message. The Central Government has not decided to outlaw Rs.2000 notes, it continued.
In light of an inquiry in Parliament, the Ministry of Finance has expressed recorded in writing that "No new indent has been put with the presses for printing of Rs 2,000 section notes from 2018-19 onwards."
In May of this current year, they introduced its yearly report, which expressed, "274 crores of the Rs 2,000 notes were available for use as of the finish of Walk 2020, making up 2.4% of all money notes being used. As of Walk 2021, the count had diminished to 245 crores, or 2% of all banknotes available for use, and had additionally diminished to 214 crores, or 1.6 percent, toward the finish of the past monetary year."
